The History of the Internet
The internet is one of the most important inventions in human history. It has changed how people communicate, learn, work, and entertain themselves. The internet became more accessible in the 1990s with the invention of the World Wide Web by Tim Berners-Lee. The World Wide Web introduced websites, web browsers, and hyperlinks, making it much easier for people to access and share information. This period marked the beginning of the internet as a public tool for everyday use.
By the late 1990s and early 2000s, internet usage grew rapidly around the world. Email, search engines, online shopping, and social media platforms began to emerge, transforming how people interact and do business. Companies like Google, Amazon, and Facebook played a major role in shaping the digital age.
